The Colbert Report reminds us of another one of Rush Limbaugh’s racist gems.

I say this all the time, but it has never been proven wrong - there is not a single word that comes out of this man’s mouth that is not offensive.  Free speech is not without consequence.  Just because you CAN say something, does that mean you should?  Absolutely not.  So shut the fuck up.

I just argued with my roommate over this. He thinks it’s alright for him to make the jokes. Whoops.

• “Have you ever noticed how all newspaper composite pictures of wanted criminals resemble Jesse Jackson?”
• “Feminism was established to allow unattractive women easier access to the mainstream.”
• “The difference between Los Angeles and yogurt is that yogurt comes with less fruit.”
• “Women were doing quite well in this country before feminism came along”
•  “When a gay person turns his back on you, it is anything but an insult; it’s an invitation”
•  “If we are going to start rewarding no skills and stupid people - I’m serious, let the unskilled jobs, let the kinds of jobs that take absolutely no knowledge whatsoever to do - let stupid and unskilled Mexicans do that work”

I could go on and on.  Your room mate thinks it’s okay for him to talk like this?  He thinks it’s okay for someone in the spotlight to say such obscene and degrading comments?  He doesn’t think that someone publicly bashing people just by their race, or sex, or sexual orientation is wrong?  Or immoral?  

Why can’t people see that such nonsense is sending us backwards?  

Nope. “It’s his job.”

What a horrible human being. Some girl in my class told me her grandmother really liked him and I was like what the fuck am I supposed to say to that? She was like please don’t judge conservatives bla bla and I get that it’s your family and stuff—a lot of people in my family are homophobic but like, I don’t think it’s acceptable. Damn.

He just makes me violently ill.
